The park claims an area of 2,400 acres and has the Glass House as its main attraction. Cubbon Park : A perfect place to go jogging, the Cubbon Park is a big draw for tourists and locals alike. The wonderfully laid out wooded park was set up in the year 1864. However, fairy fountains and a bandstand were added later. Vidhana Soudha : Showcasing the neo-Dravidian style of architecture, the Vidhan Soudha is built in granite. It houses the State Legislature and the Secretariat. An exclusive feature of the building is the gigantic sandalwood door. One can avail of daily flights connecting to places like Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chennai. The railway station at Bangalore is also well linked with the key destinations of the country. Road routes are also excellent. The Karnataka State Transport Corporation runs regular buses to the important places in the state. |
